CrossFit started as a maverick gym in Santa Cruz, CA., and quickly spread to Olympic and professional athletes, police and military special operations units, champion martial artists, and (like most of us here at CFMSP) everyday people looking for a serious kick in the butt.

CrossFit is an extremely efficient and effective way to get into the greatest shape of your life. CrossFit workouts are Constantly Varied, Functional Movements, performed at High Intensity. What are Functional Movements you ask? Functional Movements are movements that mimic life or sport...for example:

With that said, at the core of CrossFit is its natural SCALABILITY. Our clients range from elite athletes to eighty something grandmothers – so whatever shape you are starting from, whether or not you consider yourself an “athlete”, you will be able to do CrossFit.
